Gore is a fraud.

You'd be wise to have good evidence to support that claim. He's got
enough money to be in a position to sue you for libel if you haven't.

What a lovely threat.

Don't worry Bill, Graham's perfectly safe: here you're allowed to say
such things, and truth is an absolute defense in such cases. Graham's
on firm ground here.

I'm on firm ground not least on account of the emphasis Gore gave to the now
widely discredited 'hockey stick' curve in his excuse for a film. It just goes
to show that it doesn't even matter if the 'evidence' the greenies use is plain
wrong provided it can be used to successfully brainwash people.

Whereas the "evidence" the ant-global warming crew use is immune from
criticism?

The hockey stick curve was prettier than it ought to have been, but
the basic message is still unassailable - the earth has warmed up some
0.5C since 1940 and the rising levels of greenhouse gases in the
atmosphere are the only credible explanation for this warming.

Not really. There is this orbital change that happens to the
earth every so often.

Exxon is subsidising some pretty incredible alternative explanations
but you've got to be depressingly gullible to swallow them.

No, the conspiracy theorists do a pretty good bit of the
wallowing. If you want to push "global warming" then there was
"global warming" before the end of the last ice age if you want to be
totally correct. I believe that "green house gasses" had little or
nothing to do with it.
