Hell NO. 5 1/4 inch (and 8 inch) 1.2 megabyte drives run at 360 RPM.
3 1/2 inch (and 5 1/4 inch 360 kbyte) drives run at 300 RPM. A 5 1/4 HD
drive needs the controller to be clocked at 60% if it's reading/writing
a DD (360/720k) floppy.
