Bull***. Kroger has ZERO interest in some quarter acre store down on
the corner, and mom and pop have no interest in "going public".
What's a Kroger, and why should I care? Is that a mom & pop that does not
want to go public? They will never-the-less pay for the layered load above
them.
Having done that, there is an expectation by the
thousands or millions of investors that they will derive financial gain from
each widget or morsel of food the now-public shop sells.
But having a union or not is but a small factor here.
Unions in the grocery store chain is one of the major reasons our food
costs so goddamned much.
