Electronic Water Witcher

I love theoretical physics BUT, I function better with some reality.
Moving and building a house is alot of applied physics and low
level math, but it's pretty much done.

So I decided to convert a Smoke Alarm into an Egg Timer, wow
is my electronics rusty, but it sure is fun, I'm getting my feet wet
(pun intended) and learning more creative approaches for the next
project, an Electronic Water Witcher, (get the pun).

I've got a few ideas, suggestions appreciated.
