What kinds of IC amplifiers would Kenwood use?

I just bought a Kenwood car stereo KDC-MP205 from Best Buy (on sale
for $79.99, no I don't work for them, nor do I currently own Best Buy
stock), mainly for the detachable face and .mp3 playback features that
my old car stereo didn't have. (Plus, it was at least $20 cheaper
than it usually goes for.)
I tried to take it apart, but they sure don't make it easy (and after
scratching one of the tabs with my screwdriver, I decided to stop,
just in case something was wrong with it and I'd void the warranty).
The chip looked something like this, peeking into a crevice:

Would Kenwood use an LM4780? If not, what kind of audio IC would they
use?
Also - I don't have the Kenwood manual on me, but IIRC it was rated at
1% THD, which I thought seemed kind of high.
FWIW, it sounds fine, just the menus are fairly complex to navigate.
(At least, compared to my old Kenwood KDC-122P.)
Thanks,
Michael
