Can you elaborate on that ? I hadn't heard about it.

Sounds like it makes Airbus's A380 wiring loom problems that held it up look
insignificant.

Last year, when Boeing started joining 787 body sections, some of them
didn't quite fit. They were out by around 0.75 inches IIRC. Somebody on
the shop floor took a photo of the gap and posted it on a blog. It
stayed up there for months.

The link is on my other machine (if I kept it at all). I'll have to see
if its still up.

Back when I worked for the 'Lazy B', they were pretty anal retentive
about people with cameras and other recording devices even in the
commercial division. It appears that their security has devolved into
parking enforcement.

There is a sign at the dore of my CPOE that says that while camera
phones are permitted, taking pictures is strictly prohibited. I
suppose they had no choice.

'Had no choice' about what? Camera phones? They probably can't prohibit
them. But they certainly have a choice about people who violate the
rules with one. They can fire them. And then, as Airbus has
demonstrated, they can get the photos taken down.

Allow them. It's hard to buy a cell phone without a camera these
days.

Toward the end of my sentence there, I worked for a guy who was running
his s/w business on company time. I think when corporate moved to
Chicago, everyone just said, "The Emperor is far away and the mountains
are very high".

One of the receptionists at my PPOE was running her Internet porn
site from work. They were also published as #1 on the hit-list for
playboy.com some years back. Neither appreciated by TPTB.

Boeing canned Stoneciepher for writing a few love letters to his
girlfriend. They claimed it might have been an 'embarrasement'. There
are far more embarrasing things going on over there than Harry's love
life. Things that can have a material effect on shareholder value. I
dumped my stock some time ago.

More like they thought it could put them in the middle of a
harassment suit. He violated the rules, bye. ...if that's the
whole story.
