I've had a sort of premonition - pretty much whoever wins the

at the door.
But, this time it's going to be different, because the hungry
barbarians have Wi-Fi. ;-)
Cheers!

The US is not an empire, and by world and historical standards is
remarkably free of corruption. If you don't believe me, try bribing
a city official or a cop and see what happens.
I think the US is in excellent shape.

I have a tough time believing that chart. Vietnam is 14th, according
to
my wife if you wanted any official paperwork to work through the
system you better pay someone ( and better with American $). If you
didn't want your luggage searched at the airport, you better pay
someone. It was a constant in society. It's possible the practice
changed in one generation, I doubt it. Maybe if your mired in it you
don't perceive the corruption.
The chart says "indicating the population least likely to perceive
corruption"
No one bribed me to say this,
Mike
Heck, most foreigners are jealous of the US and it's way of life.
More foreigners want to LIVE here than anywhere else.
More foreign countries depend on the US for their own security, too.
If it wasn't for the US,the rest of the world would be enslaved by now,and
that embarasses and rankles foreigners.
