Uhhhh? I have openly stated on this forum that I'm a hawk, for fiscal
responsibility, but everything else is peoples' choice.

I vote Republican (actually for the man, I could possibly vote for
Obama), because DemocRATS want to take from me and give it to the
low-life, to buy votes.

See, again you miss the point. By voting Republican, you ENABLE the
Republican party to continue its policies of fiscal destruction and
Christianist meddling in private affairs. Do you not see that? Voting
for a Republican means that you want that all of that because if they
are in the majority, then we know what kind of platform they will
pursue.

I kinda feel sorry for Jeff Flake, who's been consistent with his
stance on earmarks and pork. Too bad the rest of the Republican party
doesn't take him seriously (kinda like Kucinich on the other side).

As for taking your money to give to low-lifes, um, you really DO
believe what Limbaugh spews?

and terrorizing
all illegal immigrants (who does your lawn, BTW?)

A white guy from Mesa, probably a Mormon to boot ;-)

Well, then, good on you. Too bad he couldn't find a job better than
mowing your lawn.

and torturing in
secret overseas prisons and illegally wiretapping American citizens
and so on.

What bull***. The wiretaps are on overseas links (inbound).

Oh, yeah, do you REALLY believe what Bush and his merry band of liars
tell you?

And it really IS irrelevant if you think the Republican party has been
hijacked by the Christianist right. By your own logic, if you VOTE for
the party, it means that you AGREE with the entire plank.

See above.

I did, and you still don't get it.

I'd respect conservatives if they did some very simple things:

a) Shout down the radio shitheads like O'Reilly, Limbaugh, Coulter,
etc. As far as most non-conservatives are concerned, THOSE people ARE
the conservative movement. So if true conservatives wish to be taken
seriously, they have to get rid of the loudmouths. Nothing less than
public repudiation by Republicans, followed by criminal investigations
and finally jail time, will suffice.

Ah! So you're against freedom of speech, particularly since the
leftist have no humor and can't get sponsors to keep their shows
afloat?

No, I did not say take them off the air. I said: the conservatives who
disagree with Limbaugh et al need to respond to them in a forceful
way, to say, "You don't speak for us." They can say whatever hateful
things they want but they can't be allowed to say it unchallenged by
those they purport to represent!

b) The Christianist right has to be excised from the Republican party.
Nationally-known conservative figures need to publicly repudiate the
Pat Robertsons and the Fred Phelps types, and at every possible
opportunity. These Christianists are a cancer on YOUR party, and it is
entirely irrelevant if you disagree with them.

I have commented that the party has to break free from religion, and I
have a week-old letter-to-the-editor here in Phoenix to prove it.

And good on you for that, too! But what are you doing about it, other
than writing letters to the AZ Republic? Calling me a leftist weenie
doesn't fix the problems of the Republican party.

Ah, the old "I know a homosexual/Jew/African-American, so I cannot be
a homophobe/anti-semite/racist" argument. Sorry, buddy, as long as you
align yourself with the right-wing homophobes/anti-semites/racists,
you get lumped in with them.

No, I said IN my family. If you dare make a fool of yourself, ask
around Phoenix about my views. I only despise DemocRATS!

Your views here are quite apparent and one presumes that you voice
them, in public, too, in the same arrogant manner. Funny, you do sound
like Limbaugh. How's that oxycontin addiction working out for you?

Hey, how's your buddy Renzi doin'?

He just (deservedly) got indicted for real estate manipulations,
unrelated to his Congressional job.

Bill Clinton was impeached for a blow job, which of course was
unrelated to his Presidential job.

It doesn't matter whether the crime had anything to do with his
congressional position. If he robbed a bank, would his day job be
relevant? Of course not. Besides, I find it rather interesting that a
Republican would be indicted during a Republican administration who
control Republican attorneys general. In other words, Renzi's in the
deepest possible ***.

Hey, will your daughter prosecute him? That could be interesting.

My Magic 8-Ball says, "There's a pardon in the future."

He and Shadegg ...

Why don't you like Shadegg? He just announced his retiremnt from
Congress as he said he would when he ran for office. However the
public has risen up and asked him to stay. So he's changed his mind.

By "public," I assume you mean, "Republican Party insiders who see the
writing on the wall and don't want to just turn over that seat to a
Democrat." I'm sure Shadegg didn't want to be in the minority party,
like so many of the other Congressional Republicans who suddenly want
to spend more time with their families.
