That's sad. There has to be an upside though, where they see a serious time

I don't think there's much of a problem demonstrating to other engineers that
there are various time savers/attractive features in other tools. For the
techs it's a little harder, though (since they're not usually the ones
*entering* schematics)... but you'd suggest inviting some techs to a
PowerPoint presentation of, "Comparison between ORCAD and xxxx...," eh?
Yes, definitely. If they aren't entering anything why do they need to
use the CAD then? A PDF viewer and a good Gerber viewer should be all
they need.
I no longer do PowerPoint. I discovered that I can do the same thing
with Adobe PDF's, but much nicer... descend and back-out of
hierarchical schematics with ease.
