Suggestions?
Use a router?
GRC rates me as "All ports are stealth".
Robert is on dial up.
Linux on a floppy and an old 486 PC... Google for Linux and dial-up
router. I used that for years until ADSL was offered.
Why waste a working computer on such a simple task when you can catch
new wireless routers with a firewall on sale for $29. Also, I've run
out of room for YACDST (Yet another computer doing a single task). I
use several older computers for programs and hardware that don't like
W2K or XP. They are networked to move the data around, as needed.
Spare, working computers are given away to those in my area, in need.
If Robert has the time, space, and spare computer it's up to him.
I'm happy with my WRT54G router firewall, and leaving it on 24/7.
