The sad thing is... they know it's horrid.

About six months ago, a couple of bright young NXP folks arrived at my
place of employment, to present to us a roadmap about their
new-product developments in technology areas we're involved in.

The offerings sounded reasonably decent.

At the end of the presentation, I said "I'm concerned, though, about
everything I've been hearing about NXP recently. You're developing a
bad reputation. A lot of engineers on the Net say that it's difficult
or impossible to get any sort of technical information or support or
product samples from your company, unless one is already buying $10M
of product per year. And, your website is one of the poorest in the
trade."

They looked at each other, and one of them replied "Well, let's be
honest here. It *is* the worst one."

Doesn't sound as if anything has changed lately.

Ya***, goto the Varitronix or Densitron websites, you have to
register to get a data***, then they email it to you..........
