No, his arrest will not prevent him from going into law enforcement.
However, his CONVICTION may. Something about innocent until proven guilty?

** Turns out that it's really true. One of the perps in the SDSU drug
raids was about to granted a Masters in that topic... and had the gall
to ask if his arrest was going to prevent him from going into law
enforcement ;-)
