With all filters in place, a sample of 100 messages on SED, 61 are
killed ;-)

Seems like the SPAM has been decreasing in intensity for a while. Maybe
Google has been doing something.
Maybe not.
It really does seem to be a lot better. I don't have any filters set up
with OE, and I'm only seeing a few spam posts a day, compared to sometimes
20 or more. I did take the time to report several of the worst offenders to
Google, and maybe that, along with the efforts of others, has caused them
to take action.
Thanks, Google. My personal boycott is (at least for a while) suspended.
I noticed the same thing and have gone ahead and unblocked
googlegroups and aioe on the local filter. There's still (and probably
always will be) the occasional MAKE MONEY FAST!!!11!! lamer but no
more so than I've put up with for years.
