Real science, with solid mathematical theory and experimental
verification, can't be impugned. GW sure can, because it's based on
unsupported simulations that, I've been told, don't even include the
effects of clouds.
"You've been told"?
By Sloman.
Actually, it was me who claimed that the Faithful ignore the effects
of clouds, and probably don't even know what albedo means.
Plus the fact that the CO2 curves LAG the temp. curves, because
warmer water doesn't hold as much CO2 in solution as cooler water
does.
I was toying with a neat way to illustrate that.
I reckoned you could take 2 bottles (or more of course) of carbonated water,
cola or whatever. Open them and allow them to get into a rough equilbrium
with the atmosphere. Then fit a rubber ballon over their necks.
Allow one to remain at room temp and very gently warm the other, say with a
lamp. Then compare the amount of CO2 liberated by comparing how much the
balloons inflate.
I wonder if the mythbusters would be up for it ? In fact give them AGW as a
complete challenge.
