It'd be better if they used a chart that showed the standard deviation along
with the average, so you'd have some idea as to how "unusual" of a year this
is...
Why should it be left to the part-timers to discover the truth when there's a whole

Enough for what?
To make a global warming or anti global warming case.
As far as I can see either one depends purely on your political leanings.
The logical corrollary being that the world is neither in danger of disaster from either
warming or cooling, both of which have shown variations from some base line of easily +/- 0.6C
over the last few millennia., but a few catastrophists want to make a fuss over things based on
seriously dodgy and questionable 'evidence'.
My vote ? Everything's just fine but common sense suggests we should be more sensible with
energy usage and efficiency.
