He's going to cut taxes, raise spending and balance the budget.
What's not to like?

How do you balance a budget by spending more and taking less ?

Cutting taxes INCREASES tax revenue.People have more money to invest, more
businesses start up,people are hired, more payroll taxes are paid, people
spend more, businesses prosper and pay more taxes.

Clinton raised the taxes and the economy took off like a rocket. Bush
cut them and the economy crawled forwards. The tripe about cutting
taxes leading to a balanced budget has been proven wrong since the era
of Reagan.

The most common claim is that cutting the capital gains tax increases
tax income and raising it reduces it. This is only true in the years
the cut or increase change applies to. Capital gains can be taken in
different years at the option of the investor so the investors move it
into the year with the low taxes. In the long run the government gets
less money for the lowered rates but in the years of the change the
numbers look nice for the argument.

Sounds like FRAUD to me.

And yet, year after year the Republicans promise smaller government,
then they cut taxes and spend money on their pet projects (and make
government bigger) and borrow like they don't give a sh** about future
generations.

And folks believe them, and vote for them.

look at all the "pet projects" (pork) that the DemocRATS handed out so far.
I've read they hit a new record.
and their calls for bipartisanship quickly went down the drain once they
got the majority leadership.

Just wait until they start on their social programs.
Then you will see a huge expansion of gov't employees, and spending will go
thru the roof, and it will only make things much worse.
