The question is really the cost per bit of each tech - is flash
falling faster or slower than HDD?

The other issue is whether a cheap laptop, OLPC or one of those
things, needs a terabyte of disk. If 8G of flash is enough, why buy a
hard drive?

We got one of those cute little eeps's (or something like that) for
about $300, for use around the lab. It runs XP out of flash.

The only reason people need more than around 40GB is games and media files (esp video).
