Don't need any wine. ?Can he do gasoline?
Ha!! I've tasted some pretty crappy wines that might run the
car....?

Yeah, but after triple-distillation to get to fuel-grade ethanol,
you've wasted more energy than you've got left.

It's the same old bio-ethanol problem.

Better drink it instead. ;-)

And don't drive!

Hey, people are keeping close to home on holidays, and calling it a
staycation.

Combine the two and bioethanol might be the alternative energy
solution after all.

Cheers,
James Arthur

an "alternative" that necessitates a radical negative change in peoples
mobility[=freedom] is NOT a solution.

a band-aid,perhaps;a POOR band-aid.

note that "staying home" for "vacation" means that tourist places and their
employees suffer.

Perhaps, but I've been getting some pretty good hotel rates.  ;-)

BTW,how many of the CURRENT autos on the roads will accept > than E10?

Who wants that crap in their cars?

Ya think people have the money to spend on "upgrades"?

Does it make economic sense to "upgrade"?  I see people turning in
SUVs for smaller cars, and going even further upside-down.  Stupid.

For some of the folks in Tracy California such a change overe makes a
lot of sense. They commute a long distance every day and are faced
with the choice of either putting the money in the tank of the SUV or
into the car payment.

If they have to drive that far they were stupid for buying the SUV
when gas was $2/gal. I have no sympathy for such idiots.

The era of cheap oil is, I think, over. All of the new oil coming on
line will be more expensive. The places that it didn't make sense to
drill at $50 make a lot of sense at $150 so, the supply will be
there. It will just cost more.

Agreed. There is *plenty* of oil, just not $30/bbl oil. It won't
be $150 for long either.

Some countries have a "use it or lose it policy" for oil drilling
rights. In those places, the newly obtained drilling rights will
result in an increased supply. In places without it, the oil
companies can make the bet that the price will continue up. These
will add to the reserves but not to the near term supplies.

GMAFB! Any more Demonicrat talking points you want to regurgitate?
