They are some VERY strange people about. Why are people like me and
Joerg being called 'deniers' a term more commonly associated with

I've said time and time again that I think name-calling is absurd. But I
don;t have teh time, energy, or really, health to jump as I used to for
every perceived underdogs - esp. since, over the past apx. 5 decades,
I've most typically ended up being bitten when I've done so. But the
back and forth with crap like "You're stupid", "No, you're a moron" does
nothing but alienate peole - not a good thing if one actually has any
interest at all in informing others.

On a bad day, my answer to your question would be a very misanthropic
"Because most people are a-holes". Today, all I'll say is "how should I
know, I'm the one diagnosed with a 'social deficiency'".

Although when I see how pea-brained most peole are, I have to wonder just
who it is who has the deficiency - but anyhoo, I degress......



Just step back and view the language and open-ness (or otherwise) of
certain minds and you may draw some interesting conclusions.

Actually, the conclusions I've drawn are nroe really very interesting,
just pretty much the same old same-old.


Also 'consensus' is NOT science. Far from it. It has regularly been
exactly wrong.

I won't say regularly. It has been wrong, but when a possibility is
serious, it's foolhardy to ignore that possibility.


Lastly, the 'green movement' actively wants to get us to be forced if
required to change our lifestyles. AGW is a perfect vehicle for them.

Uh, sorry, but, nobody lives in isolation from everyone else - we *all*
have to make adjustments to our "lifestyles". Tough nuggets but that's
how life is. If you aren't paying the tax man, you're living in a log
cabin in Alaska and tryint to not get eaten by grizzly bears. Life is
hard, then you die. IN between, one can eitehr spend your time kvetching
about how much everyone else burdens one, or one can realize we're all in
the same boat, and try to do something useful, creative, or at least fun.
So sorry, but I've heard that "we don't want to pay" song'n'dance for a
few decades and I'm persoanlly sick'n'tired of it, as tho' the people who
go on with it are *ever* so *very* much *more* burdened than is anyone
else, boo hoo hoo. Meanwhile, people who have always tried to live
modestly, have always gotten high-MPH cars, have worked to save and
invest, and done without huge credit-debvt incurred for luxuries and
"putting on the dog" are now being told to subsidize a bunch of people
who made stupid choices er: getting monstrously humongous houses and cars
and all sort of otehr stuff tehy couldn't afford and went into debt to
flaunt, and now are whining about their "lifestyle change", and tho'
they're "moer entitled" then is anyone else, boo hoo hoo. Blyecch.

Sorry but I find that whole bit irritating.
