We got this cabin in the mountains, and it's DARK up there at night.
The HOA forbids exterior lighting... I'd forgotten how many stars
there are.

We inherited a 4-poster bed that has huge klunky dark-varnished
turned-wood posts. If you get up to pee in the middle of the night,
chances are pretty good you'll walk right into one on the way back,
right at head level.

So your bed is outdoors? Interesting! <bg>

As others mentioned I'd pulse/strobe a green led. A quick pulse every
second or so should do it.

I think pulsing is a HORRIBLE idea. Who wants to wake up in the middle
of the night and be confronted with strobes? The strobes on cop cars
and airplanes are _designed_ to be annoying, you know.

Cheers!
