Of course, whan you change the amplitude of any 20Hz (or other)
waveform *during* the waveform, then you get wave form distortion,
and in fact AM *modulation* complete with sidebands.
LOL
From this follows: The true Audiophool has NO volume controls.
Ever heard of a conductive plastic pot with essentially infinite
resolution ?
Feel free to show a mathematical analysis of the 'distortion' from same.
Pref in MathCad format.
Ooooops, your education, amnesia?
So, again, chancing the amplitude of a sine wave is AM modulation.
AM modulation creates sidebands.
_How_ you move it determines what the spectrum looks like.
So, as an example, if you managed to decrease and increase volume in a pure
sinusoidal way at 1 x per second, then your 20 Hz would have sidebands at 19 Hz and 21 Hz.
This, of course, is not acceptable for the true audiophool.
A plastic pot and underwear changes nothing.
You don't do that of course. Why are you suggesting stupid ideas ?
A fade might take 1-2 seconds for example.
Ok, say 1 second, that makes .5 Hz if it was sinus like
Any 'sidebands' are outside the audible range.
Wrong, *any* frequency component will have sidebands,
so 1000Hz becomes 999.5 1000 1000.5
So how do you think conventional mixing works you MORON !
I suppose there's something wrong with that too is there. 0.5Hz out is onlt a cent or two anyway.
Trained musicians will have trouble hearing that.
I just checked it it. It's exactly ONE cent out.
INAUDIBLE.
Do you know what a cent is ? 1/100th of a semitone.
