not need legislation to force them on consumers.
If a fluorescent lamp lasts ten times more and consumes one third of the
power of an incandescent light bulb, but it costs five times more, you can
be sure that there will always be a lot of people who will buy the
incandescent lamp. Never underestimate mass stupidity.
