I used to think the same way but I don't any more. I think that a yearly
cost saving of --say-- $1 won't influence anybody's choice of selecting
one thing over another. Yet replacing God knows how many millions of
incandescents with power-saving technology will have a big macroscopic
effect.
If $1 is trivial in a household budget of $40,000. Multiplying it by 100
million households makes a much bigger number which remains equally
trivial.
This is a frequently used example of bollocks I mentioned in another post.
