I've fallen into the trap of seeing everything thru American eyes.
As Paul Harvey likes to say "It's NOT one world".

In a society that believes in polygamy, martyrdom
and the rights of loonie imams to make up law, life is cheap.

...and as Hamas is the democratically-elected gov't there,
the weapons are being launched in the name of that populace,
making them viable targets.

Targeting civilians is always stupid and immoral.


In the same way, I've also come to see myself as a legitimate target
after a plurality of my countrymen RE-elected a Chief Executive
who not only advocates but wages "pre-emptive war"
--based on either lies or incompetence.

The next several guys in the Oval Office have quite a job ahead.

And a society that insists everyone pray 5 times a day, and
has their best and brightest study the Koran and not Feynman,
might be expected to fall behind the rest of the world, and resent it.

With the average American's ignorance of the Scienticic Method
and the proliferation of faith-based nonsense on Dubya's watch,
I'm not so sure we're all that different
(what, with the BACKWARD direction of our societal trend
toward increased superstition and ignorance of fundamentals).
