Malaysia is cool. Well worth a visit or two. A great first stop in
South-East Asia (Singapore is so unspeakably boring it hardly counts)
and a gentle introduction to life in a fairly developed moderate
Muslim-majority country. Also interesting echoes of both the successes
and the persecution of 20th century Jews in the simmering tension
between the majority laid-back Malays and the more driven Chinese
minority. Motorola has operated succesfully there for more than three
decades-- adapting to the local culture to the point of supplying
chaperones for village girls who work in their factories.

See the Batu caves north of KL
Marvel at the Petronas Towers in downtown KL
Climb Kota Kinabalu if you're up to it
Visit Malacca and Georgetown/Panang and see the colonial era
architecture (Portuguese and Dutch as well as English).
In Borneo travel upriver by canoe and stay a night in a traditional
longhouse with the descendants of headhunters
Enjoy some tulak (rice wine) with them
See the giant Niah caves in Sarawak where birds' nests are gathered
for the famous Chinese soup.

I still have one item to be crossed off on the above list..

(Of course you won't easily be able to visit on an Israeli passport,
any more than you'd be able to easily enter Saudi Arabia, Pakistan or
Kuwait etc., but religion and even Israeli stamps in your
(non-Israeli) passport are not a problem-- unlike some of our Middle
Eastern "allies").
