I'd argue that the only way to get
a stable economy is to moderate -and ultimately stop- overall growth.

But trying to do that by mandate is just more excessive government.

Mother nature will automagically put a stop to exponential (or maybe
asymptotic) growth.

As people's incomes increase, their birth rates decline. That is
probably the only practical, or at least humane, population limit.

It doesn't seem to work as well as it might have done in the USA.

You seem to be competing with AlwaysWrong in being always wrong...
apparently for the same reasons.

US fertility rate is about 2.13, just about replacement. Our
population growth is being driven by immigration.

Educating women has an even bigger effect on birth rate than income,
and the USA does seem to fall short in this area.

Wrong again. Walk through a university campus here and see.

I'm aware that the
USA educates men and women equally well but - as evidenced by a lot
of the comment that gets posted on this user group - the US education
system can prove inadequate for both sexes.

Get a job.

If you have anything to say to me, use email. I'm not going to read
your posts here any longer.

So you've proven yourself a JERK ?:-)

Doesn't matter anyway. As of this morning the "intersection" of
Larkin and Sloman will be unseen.

Your other posts will be seen, unless they also devolve into troll
feeding.
