A Democrat President, barely two weeks into his term, already losing
popularity in the polls.

Maybe he'll reach W's level within his honeymoon 100 days ?:-)

And, now, less than 50% approving his stimulus package.

Obama's got a get-out-of-jail-free card - all he has to do make a lot
of people very happy is package up Dubbya with a nice pink bow and
send him off to the International Court of Justice as the The Hague to
stand trial for war crimes.

Cheney would make a nice dessert.

It would be more fun to send both of them to Guantánamo Bay, but Obama
has to be serious about this - he's got to win back a little respect
for the office of the President, after the last eight years.

Have you any clue how absurd you are?  Try the previous Pres for war
crimes?  Yeah, real smart.  Then the next Republican Pres can try this
one.  Then the next Dem Pres can try that one.

I don't think that is how the founding fathers set it up.  You would
relegate us to a state like a 3rd world country where every change in
power is accompanied by death and destruction.  Don't just politically
defeat your rivals, imprison or kill them.

You don't deserve to be an American citizen, or a citizen of any free
country for that matter.  Your mentality is 3rd worldish.  What made
this country so special for so long is that we can have a smooth
transition of power without bloodshed in the streets.  You are
hateful, vindictive, malicious, traitorous, treacherous, subversive,
judgmental, narrow-minded, anti-American, and dumb as a rock.  You
should be on your knees thanking your maker that our country's former
leaders aren't put on trial.  Of all the insane crackpot ideas, this
is a prize.  Where do you come up with this crap?

Claude

Sloman is a US hating European welfare queen who knows nothing about
US laws, yet he keeps dumping his ignorant rantings all over the
electronics newsgroups.

Terrell is another of these retired rednecks who lives on a pension
and doesn't check his facts.

Since I'm now 66 I'm retired, and no more living on welfare than
Michael - probably less, since I'm sharing my wife's well-paid life-
style (as she shared mine back when she was an underpaid academic).

I don't actually hate the USA, though I wasn't exactly in sympathy
with the last administration - a condition I share with a majority of
US voters.

If my rantings are ignorant, Michael has yet to prove it by catching
me out in a factual error. I never believed that the sun shone out of
Dubbya's backside, but that scarcely makes me ignorant.
