So you concede that AGW is happening?
That is very careless for a would be denialist.
And England is having its worst snow storm for 18 years - AGW is a myth.
And just about every year or two in the past 32 years (since I started
paying attention) someplace gets its worst snowstorm in 18 years, worst in
30 years, or worst on record.
One country or a region does not speak for the world, especially not
with a snowstorm or two. For example, Philadelphia set a new
single-storm snowfall record (biggest since 1875 or 1874) in February
1983, when both that city and the world as a whole were having a
noticeably warm December to early March stretch. That one was broken in
January 1996, when the world was on the cool side for 1990's but warmer
than the 1961-1990 average. Philadelphia had its 5th or so largest
snowstorm in February 2002, which looks to me like the 6th warmest month
the world had since 1850 according to HadCRUT-3-global.
The Blizzard of 1993 set snowfall records along a stretch from
Birmingham Alabama to Syracuse NY, followed by record cold in some spots
(including latest-in-the-season single digits degrees F in Philadelphia),
in March 1993 - a somewhat warm time for the world.
Central Florida is being hit pretty hard this winter. One of the few
large groves in the area lost most, if not all of their grapefruit crop
to a hard freeze, and it's supposed to hit 18 degrees in Ocala in the
next few hours. I've had to use the heat more already this winter than
I have for the entire season, since I've been in Florida. (Over 20
years)
Every few years I hear about bad freezes in Florida with citrus crop
damage - ever since the early 1970's when I started reading newspapers!
Have you noticed they keep moving further south?
Hey! I don't want that record snowfall any further South than
Birmingham Alabama. I left that crap behind, for good!
It snowed south of here about 15 years ago.
