That depends upon whether it was filed in the 1970s or granted in the
1970s.

There are patents currently in force which were originally filed prior to
WW2. Once a patent is filed, the grant (and subsequent expiry) can be
delayed by continually submitting revisions. This is commonly termed a
"submarine" patent.
