The Obama Reality Show... Fascism with a Happy Face
Jim's grasp on reality is as weak as ever.

While Mussolini's Fascists probably weren't quite as far right as
Jim's favourite politicians, Obama still isn't right-wing enough to
qualify as any kind of Fascist.

The Bush/Cheney regime came appreciably closer, though they didn't go
in for the Fascists favourite form of intimidation, which was forcing
their political opponents to drink massive doses of castor oil.

Bush was a very long way from the fascists. The fascists, at least in
Germany, made things work. It was a case of the corporations being in
control of the government but it was selected for the competent


The Germans were smitten with a charismatic foreign-born leader,
a rising star who promised to save them from troubled economic
times.

Which he did for a while, nationalizing the industries and
installing his ministers to oversee them.
