Jim's grasp on reality is as weak as ever.

While Mussolini's Fascists probably weren't quite as far right as
Jim's favourite politicians, Obama still isn't right-wing enough to
qualify as any kind of Fascist.

The Bush/Cheney regime came appreciably closer, though they didn't go
in for the Fascists favourite form of intimidation, which was forcing

Germany, made things work.  It was a case of the corporations being in
control of the government but it was selected for the competent

He also fails to mention where he got that particular definition of
fascism. Most responsible commentators identify it with Mussolini, who
pretty much invented it.

He came up with the name for it, in any case.  It certainly wasn't a
German term.  If it was German, the word would be about 3 feet long.

The German equivalent was nationalsozialismus, which translates as
national socialism. A German would parse it the same way, and see it
as the same descriptive phrase, but their writing conventions differe
from those of English.
