label1:

Snow and ice reflect a lot more solar radiation than water and
vegetation; that's why the Artic is warming up a lot faster than the
rest of the planet. It's one of those pesky positive feedbacks that
the denialists have trouble accepting.

Do you see that if the curve is exponential, or at least not linear,
then the argument that the so called 'extra' rise in temp caused by us
in the last 100 or so years is so much more bull excrement?

But it likely is just noise.

You'd like to think so.

A thousand *things* to think about, world of a thousand things
(to gesture back to a famous Chinese work), illusionary world.
Well, that is an other subject, but global and warming are of the thousan=

d things too.

For you, that may count as a well-reasoned exposition.

Those who are on a high horse ...

Look, nature +will+ change, it always has, ice ages will come, ice ages w=

ill go,

we need to be ready, have the power plants (nuclear for example) to handl=

e hostile

climates.

Substantially increasing the greenhouse gas content of the atmosphere
by burning every chunk of fossil carbon we can lay hands on does seem
to be a good way to invoke a hostile climate. Burning less fossil
carbon would be a more sensible way to cope.

Now wait a minute, try reading what I wrote.
Anyways, we need x amount of fuel to run our industries, to sustain humanity.
The ultra greenies probably love birds more then humans, but thrust me,
not ONE of them will endure sitting in the cold or in excessive heat for long,
without changing to a les green POV :-)
We have seen that here with 'no higher dikes as it pollutes the horizon'.
Bit wet feet, and they surrender.
So, again, we need to have the power plants, and I mentioned nuclear,
to cope with changing climates... We are humans, we need our inventiveness to create that to support us,
else we go extinct.

What comes after humans? (that do not create those power sources)?
Maybe the mosquitos will have the last word, some mosquito larves survived
in the vacuum of space on the outside of the ISS, cold, hot, cold,
hot, no air, radiation...
So, just ignore all that green talk, make sure you have electricity
and fuel.

There is no other way, delaying something like a change in climate by 10 =

milliseconds is _no_ solution.

Not provoking a change in climate in the first place would seem to be
an even better idea.

Wow, and that after we just agreed that nothing is provoked, it is a natural cycle.

Al Gore is no fraud - he too has been listening to good advice about
anthropogenic global warming since before he published "Earth in the
Balance" back in 1992.

The only thing in balance is his check book.

A minority opinion. Obviously, you didn't get to sit on the committe
htat awarded him his share of the Nobel Peace Prize - I can't say I'm
surprised.

Nobel prizes are given by politicians to their friends,
That is why Einstein got one.

Well Osama was, or is, related to the Saudi king, and that king is the bo=

ss of the Bush > clan. The game pushed the price of the Saudi oil up up and=
up.

Follow the money.

Obama is related to the Saudi King? Is he sufficiently closed related
that they ever met?
This really is seriously demented conspiracy theory fodder.

You [also] know little about politics and what happens in the world it seems.

FBI knew about those hijackers, but their message was stopped and or igno=

at the highest level, and that is the White House in the US.

The Al Gore's "The Assault on Reason" does go into this, but Al Gore
is a tolerably rationa man , and sees it as evidence that the Bush-
Cheney crew weren't interested in hearing anything that couldn't be
used to justify an attack on Irak.

Well, Al Gore gives lectures, basically telling the same bullshit about climate
change for a couple of thousands dollars a seat to very rich people looking for a break.
So, nobody believes anything he says anyways except you, and this suits the top
well, as him telling truth will be immediately rejected, and protect them..

This little joke (is it?) brings me back to an other subject, one you overlooked clearly,
but more interesting to me; Our world view, the way we see the thousand things
(as a metaphor), I think in the original work it was 'the thousand things that belong to the emperor'
and now, no longer quoting, because I can write that myself, the thousand things referring to this material world,
and (giving it a scientific twist) the world we perceive, is _not_ the world there is, it is actually the picture
we build in out brain representing - us, and the world we live in -.
Many think the world is what they see and experience, no it is not.
Some find out it is not by dropping acid (not on the floor but LSD), but drugs are destructive.
A bit meditation can shine that light and you see that what you see is actually only an illusion, your projection of it,
so for many these things are different then for others,.
Then is there an universal truth?
Science tries to make a surrogate truth by measurement of everything....
But there is a deeper truth, ultimately what is life, think about it,
There is the infinite power that moves us, we can be aware of it.
That is what every scripture talks about, the common thing in every scripture of every religion,
except perhaps the green religion, but OK that is no religion but a sales plan.
Unfortunately (wow am I on a tangent now) religions also change to sales plans,
I think this is why Jesus threw over the tables in the temple....
Now look at the pope's , any other one.
While Jesus clearly stated 'The Kingdom of heaven is within'.
But that does not sell, they removed passages about meditation from the bible so they could
control the masses, as the masses should look to them (the religious leaders that came
after the masters) and NOT look for the truth within them.
Hitler knew that too, you can make the masses do anything with enough bull excrement talk, call it
propaganda.
So.. to exit from the tangent (my view is there are no infinities in nature,
something always gives way), you have been had with global warming or heating or cooling or whatever,
Now it is so nice to see yourself contradicting yourself as I do here, the infinite is however an experience..
It will or will not reveal itself or be revealed as it has the whole world it its hands, in fact you are the glove,
one that one day will be dropped... to return to dust, while the infinite sea plays on.
* If more people could be guided from within, there would be less crime, corruption, etc and more knowledge how to operate and survive in this world.
In Muslim terms, we need the hakekat of the inner (BTW, i was raised a Lutheran so do not assume otherwise).

In the context, "the original post" just means the first post in the
thread. You are trying to invoke previous threads to evade the
responsibility for fouling up this one.
