It becomes very clear that there are people in leadership positions who do not give a hoot about taxpayer monies. This is why most Californians are against any more tax increases. Because they don't solve a thing, they only make it worse.

Jon: This is _exactly_ what I mean about the value of the media we have in the US. It is often the only way to unearth stuff and to make sure there's enough egg in some faces so things are corrected. Even though the paper I quoted is too left leaning for my taste I am still a subscriber because I don't want it to go under, it's the only game left in town. No matter what people say, in the US we are truly blessed with our media.
