I could find it in the manual explaining how to connect HP4194A to a
printer. What kind of printers can i connect. Am i suppose to use 8bit
I/O port?

You may want to investigate this device:

http://prologix.googlepages.com/faq2#mozTocId000030

Read the manual and FAQ for information on other programs you can use to
transfer the plotter information to your PC and plot it on a Windows
supported printer.

The User's Manual for the 4194A is available at:
http://www.home.agilent.com/agilent/techSupport.jspx?pid=1000003398%3Aepsg%3Apro&pageMode=MN&t=80106.k.3&co=158099.i.4&cc=US&lc=eng&sm=g
There is also a Printer Compatibility document available at:
http://www.home.agilent.com/upload/cmc_upload/All/Supported_Printer.pdf
See footnote 2 for the GPIB to Parallel converter that is available from
Microprint.

Since most currently available printers have USB only, you may be better off
in the long run with some of the software programs available. Google
7470.exe as a starting place. There is also a program called Plottergeist
that you may want to check out.

Hope this helps.
