They were not created for 'hobbyist', but for people who work in
electronics. This newsgroup is about test equipment, manuals for test
equipment, and help locating parts or whole pieces of equipment.
Hobbyists are welcome, as long as they play by the rules:

This is not a "For sale" newsgroup.

The OP was looking for parts, not selling them. I don't have a problem
