I'm looking for an ethernet Media Converter circuit to convert from UTP to
coax (and back again). I have googled and failed. Any suggestions please?

Something that does that and no more does not appear to be common.

More common were the external transceivers for coax or UTP or both,
that connected to the computer via the 15 pin AUI interface. Even the
ones with both connectors wouldn't translate between them.

Probably the simplest way to do translation would be to find an old hub
or switch that has both kinds of ports... I remember scrounging one,
but probably trashed it again in a move.

The cheapest way would probably be to replace the network card in the
coax pc... unless it's not a pc but perhaps an older workstation or
xterminal or networked printer or something. If it has an AUI
connection in addition to the BNC you might be able to find an external
UTP transceiver to use with it.

NETGEAR EN104 ,4 port 10base-t connects and one bnc ethernet.
(got 2 of them, not selling!!) I dont think they sell them
anymore.
