Hello,
I need a circuit to keep the rpm of an ac single phase
induction motor to a constant value everytime it runs. I have little
knowledge in electrical engineering and I require this for my project.
When I browse the net I get either microcontroller controlled / pc
controlled motor circuits and many are costly to build.
Induction motors have to slip (lag behind) to induce the correct currents in
the rotor. As the load increases, the slip increases to add the needed
torque. Poor choice for constant speed unless you are willing to adjust the
excitation frequency via a closed loop servo.
How about using a stepper motor? How about a synchronous motor?
.
