And I have a car which starts ok in the morning but after running for
about 10 minutes it starts to shake and shudder and the steering pulls
to the right when I apply the brakes. When I move my car from where it
has been parked I find pools of oil and water on the pavement.
Can anyone please tell me how to fix my car?

|Basically, the stereo powers up just fine... but it's hardly
|outputting anything at all on the left channel. The left channel is
|barely audible at all. I know it's not the left speaker itself
|because I've already checked.
|
|The right channel is extremely loud compared to the left channel. I
|get the impression that it's actually abnormally loud, as though
|*maybe* the right channel is doubly amplified and the left channel is
|hardly amped at all. And the volume control seems completely whacked.
| A gradual turning of the volume knob clockwise in a 45-degree angle
|will make the volume go up and down every other degree, but generally
|gets louder and louder in the long run. Imagine a sinusoidal
|waveform, with a linearly increasing maximum amplitude.
|
|Anyway, I'm planning on repairing this stereo. Considering these
|symptoms, are there any suggestions on where I should start looking?
|If it's a problem with the amp, I'm wondering why the volume controls
|would act so strangely.
