aiwa cd tray removal

Hi, folks.

Have an AIWA NSX-V70 mini cd system (just got back from the class action
lawsuit repair on the cd mechanism refusing to play cds --worked great
for the past couple of weeks). Unfortunately, it appears that the belt
which causes the cd tray to turn came loose. If I eject the tray, I can
just see the loose belt under it. From what I can tell, the motor is under
the tray on the left side as you look at the system.

Anyway, I figure that if I can get the tray all the way out, I can get the
belt back on (or see if there is a broken something else which let the
blelt come off to begin with... most likely the problem... and then
perhaps order the right part).

Thing is, I cannot get the tray out. On that left side, something appears
to be keeping the tray from coming out further then it would during nomral
operation. I can feel some sort of stop taking place.

Any thoughts on how I can get the tray out?
