Hello,
About once a year, since I got my two Nokia 445Pros I have thought of
searching on google for a method to increase the saturation and
contrast. However, up until today, I have always forgot to do the
search when I got back to my computer.
A few years ago I took one of the Nokias apart to see if there where
some amp gain pots or black level pots inside, but alas these modern
screens are almost totally digitally controlled and due not have many
internal mechanical controls.
In my quest for greater color fidelity on my screens, I came across a
method of accessing the service menu:
Keep the menu command pressed and turn the screen on... and
then press menu again when the screen is up ... it asks for the
Service
Password
I also found the password:
7711
I have since adjusted my contrast, black levels, convergence, gamma,
and other features to my heart's and eye's content. These are awesome
monitors with access to this service menu.
Good luck with your tuning, and remember to write the original
settings down for anything your going to change, before changing them.
