So you've convinced me to go to a professional, now what?

Okay, so mucking around a tv doesn't sound as easy as mucking around a
PC, so I think I won't try messing with my Toshiba. Now how to I find
a reputable tv technician in my area? Is there an organization that
lists certified professionals? I was burned years ago by a guy that
charged me a couple hundred bucks to fix a set, and it never really
got fixed. I found him in the phone book. I'm sure there are good
folks out there, I just need to know how to find them.
