It is NOT true that the service centres do not pay for the manuals.

>From our experience we would suggest to not go in to the power supply of
your Plasma set! Infact, in most of these models it is considered a
NON-serviceable module, and is not supported for internal spare parts.
Therefore, it is supplied as a complete module.

Before changing the supply, and applying the power back on, it is strongly
suggested to find the cause of its failure. If not, the new supply will be
damaged upon power-up. It is also possible that your supply is in the
protect mode due to some other failure, if it is not defective.

I would suggest to give the unit out for proper service.

My 42" plasma lost power, and am asking if anyone has a service manual
for this model before I go in and check on it. I can provide further
details also on the problem later. I know that Hitachi offers free
access to manuals for service centers.
