DELL Inspiron 2500 won't power up

Hello,
I have a DELL Inspiron 2500 that does not power up propperly.
When I press the "Power ON" button the laptop starts with poth "Power
On" en Hard Disk" LED burning. But within 5 seconds the unit switches
completely off, it does not reach the BIOS start up.
This happens using the mains adapter, as well as using the batery.

Anybody knows some clue ?
