I used to work in my friend's shop where we fixed anything electronic.

I spent a lot of time learning vcr and tv only to find out there's no
money in it. I guess what I really don't like about it is that the
public doesn't have any respect for us.

I got to work on a few computers and also went to school for computers
thinking there would be better money and respect. I think that
computers are becoming like tv's...they are cheap and will be thrown
away when broken. I still think people are going to pay for computer
help..that is upgrades and software problems.

If you can get a job with a big company that willing to pay an hourly
wage then take it..the little shop down the street would be a good
place to gain experience but it's a hard way to earn money. A lot of
tv repair shops have gone to computers because people are no longer
fixing their tv's.
