Going by your description, I would suggest you get some who is knowledgeable
and experienced with servicing guitar amplifiers of the type that you have.

I am thinking that there may either be something that is not wired properly,
or something is defective. It is of no use to guess, or even try to guess at
something that has to be properly verified. When servicing something, it is
best to have a proper approach to take the decision about what has to be
done.
