For proper repairs, the Carver rep or someone who really knows them
should be servicing your amp. These are fairly complex. You should
contact Carver directly to be properly informed about who to send the
amp to. If you went to an independent service shop, they probably will
have the repair jobbered out for them. I believe Carver will not sell
parts or service manuals to non authorized service reps for their
products. You can ask them directly, if they still have this policy.
You should find out the replacement cost of the unit before giving it
for service. This way you can decide if it is worth servicing or not.
Carver audio equipment is of high quality, and is expensive to replace.
