These IC's run hotter than hell! When you install the new one , make sure
you clean the heatsink extremely well and apply a fresh " thin " coating of
heatsink grease....not a ton of it , just a thin coating.

Buy from a reputable Sanken parts distributor.

Make sure you resolder the board up really well. On your main board also
resolder all the heatsinked devices , connectors and transformers.
