I had a similar problem on a Panasonic CT27G23W, turns out all the
CAP's in the vertical section were just fine, I replaced a couple
anyways and the set would start working and then same problem, well
today I think I finally licked the problem, pin 2 of the vertical IC
LA7838 had a dry solder joint so check all the pins on the IC maybe you
have a similar problem
Previously when I replaced a cap nearby I jiggled the IC enough to get
the set working again for a bit.
