This set is well known for electrolytic capacitors that leak. At this age
there are likely 30-40 bad caps, corrosion damage and probably a bad
vertical output IC. Unless one is going to thoroughly clean and rework the
boards, check every polar electrolytic cap, and the CRT is in very good
shape, the set is not worth bothering with. If these conditions are met, it
can be a nice set. Just did one last week and it has a stunning pix for a
set this age. These CRTs hold up quite well.
