Re: insignia tv, a lament and a problem!

I know...I know...

I did this, one day, i could *almost* live with this eyestrain, the
picture was incredible for quality, but still the eyestrain.

Apparently each tv company makes their tubes in a certain way, each
brand is different. i have trouble explaining to people just how
this "difference' manifests. I have looked at several tvs, all in a
row, at best buy, a few weeks ago, and when i walked out of the store
i had vision problems for hours! yet another tv has it where i could
watch for hours and hours with no problems.

the "problem' lies with me and my apparent genetics! just like that
guy in my college dorm who could see the flicker in *any* and all
flouresent light tubes, and this flickr was intolerable to him, it
sounded like as if every such light looked like a computer monitor at
50
refresh rate!
Thus this Insignia can be watched even at "bright, contrast, sharpness"
set to MAX, with little eyestrain, for me, while the Toshiba
is barely tolerable at min specs!

do not get me started on "sugar"!! I react to all those artifical
sugars and they also leave such a bad aftertaste too, and i have a
"joke"
where i would tell a young drug dealer that his future should be SUGAR
as their might be only black markets for real sugar soon, as soon that
artifical stuff will be in everything!

I have to be especially concerned about eyestrain, too, as i play my
games up close, four to five feet, from the screen.

I got that "moire" down to a tolerable level, i think it is the new
surge protector with Filtering, that helps.

I wonder if getting a better component cable would help, in that
department also?
